A procession of motorcycle riders will leave the hotel about 10am and make their way to Harcourt and Strathfieldsaye.
They will return about 1pm.
From 1pm there will be music, food, an auction, face painting and a raffle in the beer garden at the hotel.
Lar Eiffe, who is one of the three event organisers, said the appeal was close to her heart.
"I am pretty close to Kristy's father and uncle," she said.
"I think everybody has been affected by what has happened."
Ms Eiffe said she was hoping a large crowd turned out to support the cause, with 100 to 200 motorbikes expected to participate in the ride.
"I know there are bikes coming from out of town," she said.
Entry for the ride and beer garden costs $10 per person.
Meanwhile the Kristy Thomson Appeal Auction, on February 21, will take place at the Exchange from 5pm.
Major auction items include a holiday to Port Douglas, accommodation at the All Seasons, an advertising voucher, tickets to the Footy Show, a shopping and football trip and a gym membership.
Kristy Thomson Appeal committee chairman Michael McKern said the auction was the last main event for the appeal.
He said the committee would announce how much money had been raised.
"The community's reaction has been really good," he said.
"They have really got behind the cause."
