Showers are forecast, which is in stark contrast to the past two Saturdays in which play was cancelled because of the extreme heat.
There's been no play in BBD Saturday pennant since December 7.
On that occasion, Castlemaine drew with Bendigo East, 9-88 all.
Bendigo, Eaglehawk and Golden Square were victorious in their latest hit-outs.
In this Saturday's play, Bendigo East hosts Kangaroo Flat.
It's match of the day between the second-placed Roos and third-placed East.
The Bendigo East Magpies will be aiming to capitalise on home-green advantage.
Another crucial contest is at Barnard Street where the fourth-placed Bendigo takes on the fifth-placed Castlemaine.
There's just two rounds to go in the home-and-away series, so both line-ups will be primed for this match.
Golden Square's fight to figure in the finals action depends greatly on Saturday's battle at home with South Bendigo.
In early December, Golden Square bowled brilliantly to beat Kangaroo Flat by 15 shots.
The Bulldogs will be determined to bring that level of form in this match with South.
The ladder-leading Eaglehawk will start favourite at Inglewood.
The Hawks are 17 points and 146 shots ahead of the second-placed Kangaroo Flat.
Ladder in Saturday pennant run by the Bendigo Bowls Division:
Eaglehawk 127 points, 204 shots up; Kangaroo Flat 110, 58; Bendigo East 110, 39; Bendigo 105, 68; Castlemaine 95, 7; Golden Square 94, -59; South Bendigo 45, -161; Inglewood 34 156.
