The works will be carried out to replace sections of deteriorated parts of the highway’s surface with new asphalt surfaces and linemarking along a 1.4-kilometre section of the highway between Lansell Street and Oak Street, Kangaroo Flat.
VicRoads regional director Mal Kersting said the works would help prolong the highway’s life and make the surface smoother and more durable to cater for an increase in traffic.
Works will start on Monday, February 17, and run each day between 6.30am and 4pm. The expected finish date is Friday, February 21 (weather permitting).
"Motorists are advised that traffic will be down to one lane in both directions during the works with traffic controls in place to minimise traffic disruptions," Mr Kersting said. "Motorist should factor in an additional ten minutes in travelling time."
