THE CFA has downgraded an emergency warning for Gisborne and Riddells Creek to an advice message.
Firefighters have contained the grassfire in the area.
Crews will continue to be on scene blacking out and attending hot spots throughout the night.

A CFA media spokesman said fire crews are close to controlling a blaze in Gisborne.
An emergency warning is still in place for Leslie Road, Peters Road, Murray Road, Andrew Road, Campbell Road, Outlook lane, Panorama Drive, Coney Court, McGregor Road, Greenvale Drove, Emmeline Drive, Highview Crescent and Haywood Drive in Gisborne.
THE Calder Freeway between Gap Road, Diggers Rest and Station Road, Gisborne is still closed.

NEW emergency warning for Riddells Creek.
THE CFA has downgraded the emergency warning for Riddells Creek to a watch and act.
AN EMERGENCY warning is still in place for Riddells Creek.
The fire is travelling in a north-easterly direction from Gisborne South towards Riddells Creek.
The fire has crossed Jacksons Creek.
VLINE has replaced all Bendigo trains to Southern Cross station with buses.
The buses will not stop at stations in Clarkfield and Riddells Creek due to fire danger in the area.
Public transport users are advised to keep up-to-date via the Vline website.
CFA crews from Bendigo and surrounding areas are being sent to assist with the fire near Riddells Creek.
Crews from Harcourt, Chewton, Castlemaine, Taradale, Metcalfe, Elphinstone, Langley, Golden Square, Strathfieldsaye and other fire brigades will meet at Ravenswood before travelling to Riddells Creek.
CFA Loddon Mallee region community education coordinator Paul Tangey said brigades would ensure some tankers remained behind in case of an emergency.
Families near Gisborne and Riddells Creek have been evacuated as a bushfire sweeps through the area.
Several roads have been blocked off in the vicinity including the Calder Freeway, Riddell Road and Dalrymple Road.
The smoke can be seen from as far away as Kyneton.
Eric McWilliam from Sunbury was at one road block waiting for news of his friends who lived in the area.
"My friends have a house on Dalrymple Road and the fire is literally on their back door," he said.
"I saw the smoke from down the street and I have been trying to get news.
"I had heard the police came and told them to evacuate but they stayed and they weren't answering their phone.
"But we have just heard they are safe which is a relief.
"But the fire doesn't show signs of letting up."
Local resident Michael Barson was helping to direct the traffic away from the fire and out of danger.
"I was on the other side of the fire and I was trying to come this way when I realised they needed help.
"Now I am just trying to turn everyone away."
MACEDON and Mount Macedon residents have received a Watch and Act warning from the CFA for a fire which started at Gisborne.
The warning also applies to Barringo, Cherokee, Kerrie and New Gisborne.
A large grassfire is travelling quickly in a north-easterly direction from the Gisborne South, Sunbury area. This fire has crossed the Jackson Creek and is impacting Riddells Creek.
This grassfire is listed as not yet under control.
The CFA warns that spot fires and ember attack could occur in your area at any time.
