Central Victorian Gospel Radio Inc received $5000 through the state government's Be Heard! initiative.
Member for Northern Victoria Region Wendy Lovell said the radio station would use the grant to provide training opportunities for young people in the area.
“The Be Heard! initiative opens doors for young people, giving them hands-on experience of working in radio, from planning a program to broadcasting live-to-air,” she said.
“Central Victorian Gospel Radio Inc will use this grant for their Life to the Max project, which aims to show young people that being involved in community radio is both fun and rewarding by focusing on young people’s strengths, and creating a relaxed learning environment.”
