UPDATE10.10AM SATURDAY: A man in his 30s has been taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital after a rock climbing incident at Mount Macedon.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesman said the man was in a serious but stable condition.
"Initially the helicopter was called but that was called off and he's been taken by road," he said.
"I'm not sure how far he's fallen but he's got head, pelvic, wrist and chest injuries.
"An off-duty paramedic was on scene."

A ROCK CLIMBER has been injured at Mount Macedon.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesman has confirmed the incident happened at Mount Macedon Road just after 9am.
"A rock climber has had a fall," he said.
"We're on our way."
