The Steven Lake-trained four-year-old has drawn gate seven of 10 in a 3000m 0-84 Handicap.
With apprentice jockey Jackie Beriman's two kilogram claim, Master's Degree will carry just 54kg - three kilograms less than he carried to victory at the Valley last start.
The 3000m is no concern for the son of Bianconi. At his previous two attempts at the distance he scored a 14 length win at Tatura and ran third at Moonee Valley behind Anudjawun.
