Originally scheduled as a twilight meeting, Racing Victoria Limited informed the BJC on Wednesday that the meeting would start three hours earlier because of the 40 degree forecast.
"The first race will now start at either 11.40am or 12.10pm, with the last of seven races to be run just after 3pm,'' BJC chief executive Ian Hart said.
"The final times will be announced when the fields are released on Thursday morning.
"It's the right decision to have the meeting start early.
"Everyone can come out to the track and enjoy the festivities and still be home before the hottest part of the day."
