As part of the series there will be a race on each Thursday throughout the month.
Tonight’s distance will be over 1600 metres, followed by 800 metres on February 13, then the final heat on February 20 which is over 1000 metres.
The top 15 point winners will than race over the same distance in the final on February 27, which will conclude the 2013/2014 series.
Mandy Worthington, who had a win last week, now has a three point overall lead.
Kyle Hilson is second and now third-placed Ebony Whiley dropping back from her lead due to her non-start last week.
Sprinter Jack Dooley has finished strongly over the past two races.
He ran second over the 800 and 1000 meters.
With an extra 600 metres this week, he may find the distance to great, but if he can hang in for the first three laps he will outsprint the field.
Adam Parker, Greg Hilson and Jessica O’Hara are proven distance runners and will be hard to beat over this distance.
The aggregate point leaders are, Mandy Worthington 45, Kyle Hilson 42, Ebony Whiley 40, Adam Parker 38, John Justice 37, Greg Hilson and Charles Chambers 32, Geoff Jordan 31, Deanna Hocking 29, Ingrid Douglas and George Flack 25, Jack Dooley and Jessica O’Hara 24, Leigh Browell 20 and Caleb Spruce 18.
