About 800 students and staff spent yesterday afternoon at the Bendigo Aquatic Centre getting to know each other and participating in a number of activities.
There was sumo wrestling, a giant, inflatable water slide, diving, a gladiator event and a barbecue lunch.
For more serious swimmers there was the annual Golden Goggles swimming race.
Lachlan Tyson came first in the male race with a time of 28.89 seconds while Tyson Jelbart was second in a time of 30.54 seconds.
Kate Jordan was the winner of the female race with a time of 30 seconds flat and Chelsea Hird came second in 31.21 seconds.
The top swimmers will go on to compete at the School Sport Swimming Victoria regional competition in Swan Hill later this month.
Principal Dale Pearce said the day was a chance for students and staff to get to know one another.
"It is really a chance for students, in particular new students, to meet each other and become familiar with staff," he said.
"Everyone enjoy themselves."
