A FIRE broke out in Bayless Road at Dingee just after 4pm today.

A Country Fire Authority media spokesperson said 15 tankers and two aircraft from Bendigo and Shepparton took about two hours to control the blaze.
He said the fire destroyed 80 hectares of grassland.
"The fire was brought under control due to management rather than luck," the spokesman said.
"It was a credit to the firefighters."
