Hayden Dixon, of Bendigo, was reversing a Ute when he collided into another car at the Bendigo Marketplace underground car park on October 14 last year.
The Bendigo Magistrates' Court heard Mr Dixon stopped to assess the damage but quickly drove off from the scene.
Mr Dixon's licence had been cancelled one month earlier due to medical reasons associated with mental health.
He said in court on Monday he was going to write a note after the crash but "made a stupid choice" and left.
He was released without conviction and warned to not drive again.
