After last Saturday's season resumption was called off because of heat, the BBD is faced with a hot forecast for this Saturday.
The most recent round in Saturday pennant was on December 7.
Chairman of the BBD board Len Grainger said on Monday a match committee proposal was to start on Saturday mornings when the expected top is 38 degrees or higher.
"The initial proposal is for matches on days of extreme heat to start at 9.30am," Grainger said.
The plans will be discussed by club delegates at Wednesday's meeting at North Bendigo Bowling Club.
"It has to be a 51 per cent majority among the 23 clubs for any change to go ahead."
The BBD chairman said many factors had to be considered before an early start to Saturday pennant would go ahead.
"The proposal will be discussed and it's important given our summers are becoming warmer."
Midweek pennant was cancelled because of last Friday's and then Monday's heat.
The threshold for midweek bowls is 36 degrees.
