The event was part of 3T Fitness's training program but it was also a chance for the bootcampers to raise money for a friend with cancer.
"One of our bootcampers is having a cancer battle," trainer Tim Tuena said.
"It's quite a close-knit group so they decided to set up a fundraiser tin as part of the fun run today and to donate the proceeds towards our friend.
"She's in chemo at the moment but she's coming along to watch the fun run.
"She doesn't want to be exposed - she's the sort of person who never asks for help, never complains, so it's really good that her friends got around her."
Mr Tuena said 3T Fitness held a fun run at Lake Weeroona a few times a year.
"We set them an event down the track and they train towards it," he said on Saturday.
