Emergency crews were called to Moama Beach about 6.30pm on Saturday after concerns were raised for the 27-year-old male swimmer.
The man was last seen swimming under the Echuca-Moama Bridge but failed to surface and could not be found.
Police from Deniliquin Local Area Command commenced an extensive land and water search for the man but failed to locate him.
The search re-commenced on Sunday morning.
The man's body was found downstream from where he was last seen about 10.10am. A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
