THE biggest hunting and guiding expo in the southern hemisphere begins on Saturday in Bendigo.
More than 15,000 people are expected to attend the annual Wild Deer and Hunting Adventures’ Hunting and Guiding Expo today and tomorrow.
This year the expo will feature more than 260 sites both indoors and outdoors.
The stalls will include hunting, guiding, taxidermy, guns, knives, fishing gear, swags, archery, camping, 4WD accessories, GPS, communication, optics, ammo, quad bikes, generators, camper trailers, boats and marine, dune buggies more.
The original event took place in Wodonga but outgrew the address, relocating to the Prince of Wales Showgrounds in Bendigo.
Organiser Pete Costin said the expo was the biggest show of its kind.
And despite the hot forecast, he expects plenty of attendees.
"The heat won't affect the crowds, hunters love the heat," Mr Costin.
"There is something for everyone at this year's hunting expo."
The event will be held at Bendigo Exhibition Centre at the Prince of Wales Showgrounds on February 1 and 2 from 9am to 4pm.
The event is alcohol free and adheres to relevant regulations.
