Richmond Football Club star Troy Chaplin has answered a call from the Country Fire Authority to help educate his hometown of Maryborough about fire safety.
Chaplin went back to the Maryborough Education Centre to talk with school students about the importance of fire safety.
The CFA filmed the session to create a new FireReady education video.
''We're here to try and educate the kids and parents about FireReady,'' Chaplin says in the video.
''It's all about teaching the kids about fireplans and the risks associated with bushfires - trying to give them an insight into how to prepare.''
