The annual Melbourne Country Week carnival hits off on Monday, February 17.
The Provincial Group final will be contested on Friday, February 21, at the MCG.
"It's obviously a fantastic incentive for the chance to play on the MCG in the final, but I guess every Provincial Group team has that same incentive," Bendigo coach Max Taylor said on Wednesday.
Bendigo is scheduled to play its annual Country Week warm-up match against Ballarat for the Turner-Hollioake Shield in Ballarat this Sunday.
However, with forecast temperatures of 40 degrees in Ballarat on Sunday, Taylor has some concerns the game may be called off and Bendigo will go into Melbourne Country Week without a competitive game under its belt.
