British rapper Dizzee Rascal, Triple J Hottest 100 winner Vance Joy and Aussie hip-hop artist Illy will headline this year’s Groovin the Moo festival.
The festival, which arrives in Bendigo on Saturday, May 3, will also play host to Cults, Disclosure, The Jungle Giants, The Naked and Famous, The Presets and Violent Soho.
Architecture in Helsinki, The Jezabels, Kingswood, Loon Lake and Parkway Drive, who have all previously played the regional festival, are also on the line up.
Triple J Unearthed and local emerging artists are still to be announced.
Tickets for the Bendigo leg of GTM go on sale next Tuesday, February 4.
They will be available from the Bendigo Advertiser office, 47-51 Queen Street, Bendigo, from 8.30am.
It will be the tenth GTM tour after the event began in 2005.
This year’s GTM also welcomes a sixth leg of the tour with Oakbank in South Australia added to the docket. The festival also visits Maitland, Canberra, Bunbury and Townsville.
On Triple J this morning Dizzee Rascal said he is always excited to come back to Australia.
"Seriously. Trust me. It's one of the highlights of my life. I've never been to Oakbank or Bendigo but they all sound fun,” he said.
“I played Tasmania for the first time last year - they were kicking the shit out of each other but they were having a good time."
Of their inclusion on Groovin the Moo 2014, The Presets said: "We're thrilled to be joining Groovin The Moo for 2014. We've been performing as The Presets for roughly the same time as the festival - we're both turning 10 this year. When we first played with Groovin The Moo, it was one show in Maitland, we're now proud to be headlining the festival in five states, including their South Australian debut in Oakbank. We're in the process of creating a completely new show for you - which will premiere at these Groovin dates."
Last year’s Bendigo leg of the tour sold out in two days with more than 15,000 people attending the event at the Prince of Wales Showgrounds.
Continuing with the design theme, don’t forget GTM is calling out to artists, graphic designers, students, professionals and hobbyists to enter the 2014 GTM TEE Competition.
