The 20-year-old was named WNBL Player of the Week for round 16 on the back of her 25 points and seven rebounds against the Fire.
Her season-best effort helped the Spirit to a 78-57 win over the Fire.
With centre Gabe Richards out of the game injured and Elyse Penaluna in foul trouble, Blicavs welcomed the extra responsibility.
“We had a soul-searching week and I think it was one of the best performances from our team considering we didn’t have Gabe Richards and Elyse Penaluna was in foul trouble,” Blicavs said.
“I was really happy to be a part of that win and the girls gained a lot of confidence from it.”
Enjoying her first season in Bendigo after making the move from the Dandenong Rangers, Blicavs said the selfless attitude of the team has helped her development.
“In this team is the first time where I am competing for minutes, yet the players are still willing to help me and assist me to improve my game,” Blicavs said.
“Kelsey Griffin as an example – we play the same position, yet everyday she’s trying to make me better and give me advice.”
Blicavs also had 13 points and four boards in Friday night's win over Logan.
Blicavs and the Spirit are back on the road this weekend when they face Sydney Uni Flames on Saturday night.
