A team of 38 swimmers from the Bendigo East club will be striving to maintain their position as the leading Central Victorian club when the three-day titles start on Friday.
The three-time Central Victorian District Champion team will be led by the experienced Kate Jordan, Jacob Waller and Rebecca Holmes.
Although the club has lost some outstanding talent in the past year to Melbourne teams, the arrival of classy backstroker Carmen Franz, along with the return of the experienced Eleanor Rodda and Madeleine Hawke has balanced the ledger a little.
"It's an exciting time for the whole team. The chance to swim in a new pool and race at the "Grand Final" of country swimming has all the swimmers pumped up,'' said Bendigo East head coach Tony Rodda.
Bendigo East's tea to compete at the Victoria Country titles:
Layla Day; Xavier Dole; Harry Downing; Carmen Franz; Alexandra Gibson; Holly, Madeleine and Thomas Hawke; Rebecca Holmes; Harrison Howell; Kyle Jacobsen; Cameron and Kate Jordan; Alexandra Liacos; Anna, James and Will Mittell; Kaitlyn Morgan; Aruna and Xavier Morrissey; Jack Nicholas; Eleanor Rodda; Bryce Schubert; Maggie Skewes; Lilly Skipper; Jarrod and Matthew Slot; Erin Smeelie; Connor Symons; Michael Valentine; Brad and Kiara Verbeek; Ethan, Jacob and Sophie Waller; Brittany, Ella and Imogen Wassing.
