Mark Llewellyn, 33, has been remanded to appear before the Bendigo Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, after failing to co-operate with police on Monday.
Mr Llewellyn, of Muckleford, is facing eight separate charges, including recklessly causing injury, driving while disqualified, refusing a drug test and breath test, and resisting police.
Police allege he was involved in a fight at a Long Gully home before he drove off and crashed into a traffic light pole in High Street, Kangaroo Flat on Saturday night. He had to be subdued with capsicum spray after he tried to evade arrest.
