A MUCKLEFORD man charged with assaulting a friend at a Long Gully home on Saturday night will face court today.
The 33-year-old man crashed into traffic lights at the intersection of Lockwood Road and High Street in Kangaroo Flat about 8.10pm.
The man allegedly attacked his friend with a weapon at a Havilah Road property about 7.45pm.
Bendigo Crime Investigation Unit Senior Constable Andrew Heazlewood said the man faced an out-of-sessions hearing last night and received a further charge of committing an offence while on bail.
Police charged the man with eight offences yesterday, including making threats to kill, recklessly causing injury, driving while disqualified, refusing a drug and breath test, and resisting police.
Bendigo police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash in Kangaroo Flat to contact the station on 5448 1300.
Senior Constable Heazlewood is particularly interested in talking to a man who was driving a white utility with locked tool boxes on the tray, heading north along High Street and the driver of a blue Commodore VX who was driving southbound.
