The BTA's Marion Blandhtorne, Barry Brooks, Percy Dowse, Joan Eisfelder, Paul Henshall, Judy Scarrott, Michael Smyth and Grace Tait earned awards.
More than 300 volunteers were recognised at the function where sports commentator Anthony Hudson, another Bendigo identity, was MC.
Speaking at the breakfast at the MCG, Minister for Sport and Recreation Hugh Delahunty commended Tennis Victoria for recognising the many volunteers who work tirelessly to help tennis thrive in their communities.
“Before a point is played, there’s a volunteer busy behind the scenes ensuring the nets are up to scratch, courts are ready to play and the scheduling is completed so that players can hit the courts and do their clubs and communities proud," Mr Delahunty said.
“These inspirational people are just some of the 580,000-strong network of Victorian sport volunteers who give their time freely to make sport happen through their hard work and dedication."
