The swim meet, which begins in Melbourne on Friday, will attract 21 Australian swim team members.
The five Bendigo swimmers will rub shoulders with some of the country’s fastest swimmers.
The Hawks’ contingent includes 12-year-old Olivia Wright who will go head-to-head against Australian Olympic gold medallist Alicia Coutts in the 100 metre butterfly event.
Wright will be joined by Bailey Harriden, 14, who will compete in the 50 metre and 100 metre butterfly events.
Fourteen-year-old Angus Verbeek will compete in just his second open age championship.
He will swim in the 200 metre individual medley, 200 metre backstroke and 100m breaststroke events.
Brothers Andrew, 18, and Ryan Dessens, 20, will swim against each other in the 50 metres breaststroke.
Ryan will also compete in the 100 metre and 200 metres breaststroke.
The 2014 championships will feature some of Victoria’s up and coming junior swimmers including Bendigo’s own Jenna Strauch who donned the green and gold and represented Australia at the World Junior Championships last year.
The meet will also feature athletes from across the world.
The championships finish on Sunday.
