The Bendigo Advertiser and Cafe Thirty8 in King Street have joined forces for a new iPhone app assignment... BonAPPYtit.
Send a coffee order for you and up to five workmates through the assignment section on the report button of our iPhone app and you could be enjoying morning tea on us on Wednesday.
Cafe Thirty8 owner Leah Glatz said she was excited about Bon-
APPYtit.
“It is always nice to be involved with the community and the local paper, so I think it is a positive move,” she said. “We are a tech-savvy kind of business and to be a part of something innovative like this is exciting.”
Ms Glatz said Cafe Thirty8 would provide six hot drinks and a selection of homemade cakes and slices for workmates to enjoy. The King Street cafe is best known for its home-styled cooking.
“Hopefully, this will get to show off what we do,” Ms Glatz said.
Bendigo Advertiser editor Rod Case thanked Cafe Thirty8 for taking part in the app assignment.
“The app has been a lot of fun and this is a good chance for us, with the help of Cafe Thirty8, to give back to some of the people who have supported us by downloading it,’’ he said.
“So far 5297 people have downloaded the iPhone app, which is free for a limited time from the App Store.
“The exciting thing is we are negotiating with a sponsor for a new Android app which should be available later this month.
“That will mean a whole new group of people forming a relationship with the Bendigo Advertiser and getting to take on assignments and that’s great to see.’’
