Bendigo Senior Constable Mark Smeaton said the man was assaulted at Bendigo Train Station on Friday at 1.30pm.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Bendigo Police Station on 5448 1300.
Meanwhile, police are searching for a man who allegedly sexually assaulted a woman in Bendigo near McLaren Street last year.
