POLICE are searching for a man who allegedly sexually assaulted a woman in Bendigo last year.

The woman had been socialising with friends in Mundy Street on December 15 when she decided to walk home about 3.40am.
A short time later the woman was walking along Williamson Street when the man allegedly grabbed her from behind at an alleyway near McLaren Street.
The man then sexually assaulted the woman.
He is described as Caucasian in appearance, about 162cm, aged in his early 20s, with a slim build, light brown wavy hair and a pale complexion.
He was wearing a black-hooded jumper, with a red symbol on the front and black skinny jeans.
Police would like to speak to three women who were seen walking on Williamson Street at the time of the attack.
