Police search for man after woman was sexually assaulted

POLICE are searching for a man who allegedly sexually assaulted a woman in Bendigo last year.

The woman had been socialising with friends in Mundy Street on December 15 when she decided to walk home about 3.40am.

A short time later the woman was walking along Williamson Street when the man allegedly grabbed her from behind at an alleyway near McLaren Street.

The man then sexually assaulted the woman.
