THE Kyneton races provided huge entertainment for kids at the weekend when the Kyneton Racing Club hosted the Midland Express Kids Day Out.
While some families were expecting just to sit on a picnic blanket in the sun, the school-holiday based activity saw families entertained with an animal farm, jumping castle, face painting and, of course, pony rides.
Activities also included a trackless train rides, super slide, sports activities and arts and craft while the Kyneton CFA also took part.
"It's just a good family day out with kids activities," Kyneton Racing Club manager John Dight said.
While the parents were enjoying the country racing atmosphere, it was clear the the kids were having a ball with all the activities on offer.
Adrienne Cameron and Charli Copeland got their faces painted while Mia Turner and her mum, Michelle showed off their skills with the hula hoops.
Brody Hocking showcased his yo-yo skills while Levi Griffiths and his dad, Chris dressed up and enjoyed the racing.
