Taylor stars with five wickets for Victoria

A FIVE-WICKET haul from Strathdale's Cameron Taylor wasn't enough to get Victoria over the line in its Australian Country Cricket Championships match against Queensland on Sunday.

Queensland replied with 9-367 to Victoria's 299 in Canberra.

Leg-spinner Taylor was Victoria's standout with the ball, picking up 5-124 off 33 overs. Team-mate Linton Jacobs took two catches.

On Saturday, Taylor made 24 batting at No.6.

Jacobs scored four, while the third Strathdale player in the team, opening batsman Travis King, was dismissed for a duck.
