The young aces from the MLC Hot Shots tennis program run at Bendigo's tennis headquarters are ready to show their skills before Tuesday's play on the Hisense Arena court.
For many weeks the keen boys and girls have been learning all about volleys, smashes, drives, serves and more.
Players from the Hot Shots program in Bendigo who will play on Hisense Arena are Lachlan, Luke and Josh Feuerherdt, Cooper Russell, Zoe Holland, Bianca and Oliver Schelosky, Jackson Dole, Jessica Baker, Emma and Georgia Hooley.
Their coaches are Alyssa Cole, Paige Ipsen and Lani Hamilton.
Bendigo Tennis Association executive officer Leon Retallick said Hot Shots was a great introduction to the sport.
"We had more than 50 applicants for the Australian Open day, so selection was not an easy task," Retallick said.
"To have a hit before some of the game's biggest names take to the court is really exciting for all the boys and girls involved."
An eight-week program for Hot Shots will hit off in early February. Contact the BTA on 5442 5744 to register.
Sessions are run on Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings.
