The quartet of South Australia's Allan Mayfield, Bendigo's Charles Chambers and Victorians John Graham and John Herridge ran under "exhibition status".
They broke the record by more than 55 seconds.
The record-breaking feat was among many highlights on a program which included 200m, steeplechase, 4 x 100m relays, medley relays, high jump, triple jump and weight throw.
The track and field program started on January 4 and involved competition all week at the La Trobe University Bendigo athletics complex in Retreat Road, Flora Hill.
The Masters finale is Sunday's half-marathon starting from 7.30am at Howard Place.
There are more than 240 entries across Masters and the community half-marathon.
