UPDATE: Reece said he was getting used to having lots of fans waiting to meet him.
“It is always fun when it is a bit mental, it is more exciting,” he said.
“I was never the popular kid growing up so it is a big change.
‘Most kids my age are going out and getting their first job and I get to do this.”
He said it was “cool” to see how dedicated the fans are.
“There are a couple I know by name, not just from Twitter but they come to every show. It is flattering.
“We sing the same songs and they come and see it and they really like the songs.
“My favourite thing about this tour is it is a new album and we get to sing some of the songs for the first time. They don’t know all the words but it’s cool to see them go off.
“This album is a bit different to before, I put my foot down and did more want I want to do. The previous songs were not as rocky.
“I haven’t done much preparation for this tour. I am just getting over jet lag as I have been in Ireland with Rhiannon”.
He said his girlfriend former Home and Away star Rhiannon Fish would hopefully be coming to the last show.
“After that she is going to LA.
“It sucks, but it is one of those things and I am over there all the time writing and playing so it has worked out.”
He said he was excited about his show.
“I just got given a bunch of gifts I am excited about opening as they came in shiny boxes. I always try to wear a piece of jewellery that was given to me by a fan.
“I haven’t been to Bendigo before, I have just driven through but after looking at the fans I might be coming back.”
UPDATE 9PM: Reece is about to take to the stage.
Capital Theatre box office manager Jacoba Kelly said it was a full house.
“There are 500 in the audience and I would say we had a good 200 queuing up, some from as early as 8.20am.
“When the tickets went on sale, we sold 160 tickets in the first nine minutes which is pretty big for Bendigo.”
Sisters Becca, 15, and Rachel, 13, Smith who were the first in line to meet the singer, said it was amazing to meet him.
“I am his biggest fan,” said Becca.
“I have seen him before heaps. I don’t even know how many times.
“He remembered my name and called me back for a photo.
“We are doing all four shows.
“I love everything about him,” she said.
“The day before he touched my arm,” added her sister Rachel.
Meeting Reece Mastin was a dream come true for Kira Matthews, from Epsom.
The 17-year-old suffers from terminal cancer and has been given six months to live.
“This was her wish,” said her mother Lisa Matthews.
“In July she had radiation therapy and chemotherapy and it has not worked and before Christmas the surgeons said they couldn’t do anything and they have given her six months.
“It is hard but she loves him. My partner bought us tickets to come see him.
“I’m a fan as well.”
Nicole Bridger, 19, who is also terminally ill, was there with her nanna June Parker to meet the star.
“Reece is her favourite, she has followed him since he was young; it has been amazing.
“She loves him and Taylor Swift.”
Nicole said she was excited to meet him.
“He’s young and he has good music,” she said.
Friends Cassandra Meehan and Courtney Perkins had been at the theatre since 10 in the morning despite not having tickets for the show.
“We have been here all morning just to get our shirts signed and to give him a bear,” said Cassandra.
“We didn’t get tickets as they were all sold out so we didn’t want to miss this.
“He’s just beautiful, it’s impossible not to like him.”
11-year-old Rosemary Wild was nearly in tears after meeting her star.
“It was amazing,” she said.
“Mum didn’t have enough money for me to come to the concert but I still got to come here and he signed my shirt. We came at 8.30am to see if he was here and we spent the day waiting but it was worth it.”
UPDATE 7.30PM: Hundreds of screaming girls have now met Reece Mastin.
The teen heartthrob was signing shirts and greeting fans for around 30 minutes and he is now gearing up for his sell out show.
He said he was excited to meet so many fans in Bendigo.
"It is always fun when it gets a bit mental," he said.
UPDATE 6.30PM: The signing has started and Rachel and Rebecca Smith are at the front of the queue.
