The documents allege Amos Keuning, 33, was found with 173 child porn images on his computer.
Mr Keuning appeared before the Bendigo Magistrates Court on Wednesday on charges of making and possessing child porn and contravening a personal safety intervention order.
The court documents allege Mr Keuning downloaded the images between June 2011 and October 2012 and stored them in a folder labelled “porn”.
Police were alerted to the images in October 2012.
It’s alleged police from the E-crime squad examined the computer and located 173 images of child exploitation material and a large amount of adult pornography.
It’s also alleged Mr Keuning told police he used the images as they “excited” him.
The document said:
-(Mr Keuning) stated that he had downloaded close to 500 images and that they were not all saved to his hard drive.
-The accused stated that he also had numerous images stored on his mobile phone.
-The accused states that the girls he downloaded were generally aged between five and teenage, 13 and 14
-Police are yet to complete a full analysis of the seven mobile phones, two Playstation 3 game consoles and two media storage devices seized from the accused.
-Preliminary analysis of the Soniq USB indicated this item contains child exploitation material.
It was also alleged Mr Keuning breached a personal safety intervention order by posting about a protected person online.
He was arrested on September 24 and was interviewed at Castlemaine police station.
The court heard some images still needed to be analysed. Mr Keuning was granted bail by Magistrate David Faram on condition he not attend within 50 metres of swimming pools, playgrounds and other places children congregate.
He is due to back in court February 5.
