Harling has been a long-time cricket administrator in Bendigo, firstly with Kangaroo Flat and now at BDCA board level.
Having previously spent six years as president and two as secretary at Kangaroo Flat, Harling - pictured at the home of cricket, Lords, in England - is in his second year on the BDCA board as treasurer.
As well as treasurer, Harling has also been pivotal in the organisation of this week's School Sport Australia 12-and-under Cricket Championships, the recent Australian Cricketers Association v BDCA Twenty20 match at the QEO, plus the annual Bendigo Country Week carnival.
Harling - who is still on the committee at Kangaroo Flat - has also helped to introduce the successful Friday night T20 Blast junior competition at the QEO this season.
"Having played and enjoyed cricket over the years, you want to see the game continue to grow and prosper," Harling said.
"We want to keep it strong going forward."
