The State Emergency Services confirmed there were 17 requests for assistance in the area throughout the day.
“It was mainly tree damage related to the wind,” a spokesperson said.
“The vast majority of incidents were trees that were down or building damage caused by falling branches; but there was nothing notable and no one was hurt.”
The Bureau of Meterology issued a severe weather warning for damaging winds for people in the South West, Central and West and South Gippsland forecast districts with damaging winds around 55 km/h with peak gusts of 90 km/h to 100 km/h.
