New book launched in Bendigo

TWO Bendigo authors have celebrated a significant milestone with the release of the fifth edition of their health promotion textbook.

City of Greater Bendigo corporate and community planner Dr Lyn Talbot and Dr Glenda Verrinder from La Trobe University’s Rural Health School are the brains behind Promoting Health: The Primary Health Care Approach.

The publication is used throughout Australia and New Zealand by university students and draws on expertise from people working in Bendigo.

"It's a health promotion book for health professionals working in the community but also students who want to incorporate health promotion into their learning," Dr Verrinder said.
