The four-wheel drive tanker was handed over to the CFA at the brigade Christmas party last week, replacing their old truck that was more than 25 years-old.
Knowsley brigade secretary Janet Baker said the new vehicle was a major boost for the volunteer-run brigade that covers the region around Lake Eppalock and toward Axedale.
She said the truck came fully equipped with important safety features and was worth about $250,000.
"The new truck is a huge asset to assist the Knowsley area," she said.
"It will be able to access hard-to-reach spots and go to nearby areas, and assist on strike teams."
Mrs Baker said the brigade had 32 volunteers, who were all bracing for a potentially busy fire season.
"Hopefully we have a quiet summer," she said.
"But for anyone that drives around the area you can tell it has dried off a lot with these hot days."
The Knowsley Brigade's Christmas party also saw a number of brigade members awarded long service medals.
The truck was fully funded by the CFA.
