Victoria's consumer watchdog has warned holidaymakers about the risks of booking holidays online after it recorded a 40 per cent jump in complaints.
Between 2012-2013, Consumer Affairs Victoria received more than 300 complaints about holiday accommodation.
Common complaints include properties that are unclean, equipment not working and that accommodation does not match the expectations or images on the website.
Melbourne Stars off to a flyer
The Big Bash began last night with the Melbourne Stars opening their account with a 76-run win.
Stars opener Luke Wright bashed 70 off just 32 balls.
The Melbourne Renegades were no match for their opponents, with Jackson Bird taking four wickets.
