On what is the last race day for the year, the Jockey Club will be inundated with Bendigo families and punters wanting to try their luck before Christmas.
There will be free entertainment during the Christmas-themed event.
A jumping castle, face painting, games by Kelly Sports, an animal farm and laser tag will all be onsite for families. Music duo In2U will take to the stage.
The Paddle Pop Lion and Kooka are special guests. Organisers say Santa will take time out of his busy schedule to make a surprise visit.
Winning entries from the Kooka Colouring-In competition will also be on display.
Gates open at 11.30am. The first race begins at 1pm and the last race is at 5.10pm.
General admission costs $15. Santa's barbecue package costs $20. There are also tickets still available for several marquees. Tickets can be purchased at the gate or online at www.countryracing.com.au
