The Olympic silver medallist from Bendigo was part of the red-hot Australian quartet that raced to victory in the men's team pursuit.
O'Shea, 24, came into the team for the gold-medal ride against Denmark, replacing Luke Davidson, who was juggling omnium commitments.
He led team-mates Alex Edmondson, Alex Morgan and Mitchell Mulhern out strongly to build up an early lead over the Danes, then dropped out after four laps.
O'Shea also contested the 1km time trial and scratch race at the meet.
