THE Bendigo Gold has offered two more spots on its list to central Victorian footballers.
The Gold has handed mid-sized forward Jarod Bacon a shot at VFL, and re-signed Jordan Collins.
Bacon joins after playing in Lockington-Bamawm United's hat-trick of Heathcote league flags.
"He's very athletic, got great natural football ability, is a great presenter to the footy, he's got good hands and good skills," Gold coach Aussie Jones said.
"I don't mind him on a wing or half forward, he's a really, really good athlete. I can see him using the open spaces on a wing well.
"He only trained two or three times and I just liked what I saw."
Collins, the former North Bendigo turned Kyneton rover, has won back his spot on the list through sheer hard work.
"If you had of asked me before we started training would he make the list I probably would have said no," Jones said.
"But he's come back in ripping shape, he's joined the elite running group.
"Last year Jordy was coming off a shoulder reco...he's done an enormous amount of work in the break to show his commitment."
