A strong squad of 23 Bendigo East swimmers will travel to the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre to compete at the State Age swimming championships.

First events are on Saturday.
The Bendigo East team has been in excellent form in the lead-up to the State titles.
Ella Wassing, Connor Symons, Jack Nicholas, Alexandra Gibson and Harry Downing will compete at State level for the first time.
Bendigo East coach Tony Rodda is looking forward to solid performances from the team.
"The lead up form has been excellent, with many swimmers steadily improving their personal best times," Rodda said.
"They all primed to do well."
A busy summer has included the club's annual carnival in which East won 43 of the 78 gold medals up for grabs.
The club's potential finalists at the Age titles include Victorian representatives Isabella Symons and Rebecca Holmes along with Cameron Jordan and the rapidly- improving Matthew Slot.
The championships run until next Thursday.
