ARNOLD resident Ivan Younghusband has described the 61-year-old man who passed away in a car collision on Tuesday morning as a hard-working man.
Mr Younghusband said the man had lived in Arnold for the past 15 years.
“We only saw him a little bit, he just kept to himself,” he said.
“He didn’t do much with the community but he didn’t cause any problems.
“He worked all the time.”
Mr Younghusband said the male lived near his farm.
“He was a man of few words,” he said.
Bendigo Highway Patrol Acting Sergeant Peter Dyer said the man's ute collided with a tree on the Wimmera Highway at Wilsons Hill about 2.30am.
Police said fatigue caused the crash.
