Euan Vance, 52, will face trial next year after pleading not guilty to the charges relating to $1.2 million of alleged fraud.
Vance, who is now suspended as a lawyer, appeared at a directions hearing in the Supreme Court in Melbourne on Wednesday.
He was ordered to stand trial on April 28 next year.
Police arrested Vance at his home in Eagleby, south of Brisbane, after an arrest warrant was issued on February 28 this year.
He was extradited to Victoria in March to appear in the Bendigo Magistrates Court.
A further directions hearing on March 14 next year will determine the venue of his trial.
