Families simply moved inside the church hall to enjoy an old fashioned sing along of Christmas carols.
Around 100 people attended the seasonal event including Santa.
Master of Ceremonies Councillor Rod Fyffe and guests Skip and Brianna Frankel, Sean, Min and Tam, The Yanner Sisters and The Christmas Carolers made sure the crowds were full of festive cheer.
Organiser Tony Salter said the night, which was held at the Uniting Church in Kangaroo Flat, was a success.
“All things considered I was very happy with the outcome.
“When an event like this is affected by the rain it does affect the crowd but the seating was full in the hall so I am pretty happy.
“The choir took over and sung a few extra songs and the crowds were singing along.”
Local resident Janis Donnelly who attends the event nearly every year said it was a very good night.
"They were singing all the old favourites," she said.
"We had it inside because of the weather but it was still a good crowd.
"Even compared to previous years it was a good night and everyone was very much singing along.
"My favourite carol is Silent Night and they did that one."
