THE Bendigo Spirit won their 11th WNBL game in a row on Saturday, defeating the Melbourne Boomers by five points at the State Basketball Centre.
In what was a match-up of first versus third, the Spirit prevailed 60-55 in a tight, defensive struggle.
The only player to score in double figures for Bendigo was Gabe Richards, who had 24 points to go with nine rebounds.
Kelly Wilson was the next best scorer with nine points.
The victory improves the ladder-leading Spirit's record to 11-1.
Melbourne captain Tess Madgen scored 12 points against her former side.
