John Turner, who owns the Black Forest Motel in Macedon said he still had a handful of family rooms available for the Rolling Stones weekend next year.
"It's fantastic that it's on a Sunday because that's our quietest day," he said.
"It is a bonanza for the region and will bring in millions of dollars."
Mr Turner said his motel's website experienced 10 times the number of hits over three months when Bruce Springsteen was announced to play at Hanging Rock earlier this year.
"It advertises the place so much that we get on going bookings for other times of the year," he said.
"I fielded phone calls about Springsteen daily for three months when he said he was coming.
"One guy from America was so keen for a room that he slept in our office."
The Rolling Stones play at Hanging Rock on March 30 next year as part of their 14 On Fire national tour.
