BENDIGO Highway Patrol called off a pursuit of a Holden Commodore in Kennington on Monday night after speeds of 100km/h were deemed "too dangerous".

Highway Patrol Acting Senior Sergeant Dale Simm said the pursuit started at 5pm and lasted five minutes.
"The offender reached speeds of 100km/h in a 60km/h zone," he said.
"Police called off the pursuit once at 100km/h.
"Those speeds were considered hazardous."
