As part of the National Theatre Live program, the London National Theatre's production of Shakespeare's Hamlet will be screened at the 159-year-old theatre from November 30 to December 4.
"We have been screening the Met Opera for a number of years but this is the first time we've done it with the London National Theatre," Theatre Royal owner David Stretch said.
The production is directed by Nicholas Hytner and stars Rory Kinnear in the title role. Kinnear won the Evening Standard Best Actor Award for his performance.
Also cast in the production are cast also includes Clare Higgins (Gertrude), Patrick Malahide (Claudius), David Calder (Polonius) and Ruth Negga (Ophelia).
"The (National Theatre Live) program allows people to immerse themselves into the theatre experience and see some of the best actors in the world playing with the finest theatre companies," Mr Stretch said.
"It is a really terrific opportunity and we're pleased to give people a chance to see it."
Last week the Theatre Royal screened MacBeth starring Kenneth Branagh as the Scottish King while next February Tom Hiddleston will play Coriolanus.
In March the London National Theatre's production of War Horse will also be screened.
The screenings take place almost 50 years to the day since the National Theatre Company opened at the Old Vic with Laurence Olivier’s production of Hamlet with Peter O’Toole in the title role.
Maggie Smith, Derek Jacobi, Judi Dench and Michael Gambon have also been part of the company during its 50 years.
